Let us help share the burden and be the hero that makes it a bit easier.
Back in the mid 1980s, our founder, Jason R, as soon as he could read the words on a page, was reading the commands on a monochrome screen. It was a sight to behold, a massive CRT monitor weighing around fifty pounds and almost twenty four inches deep to provide a crisp 13" of display area to look at in an interlaced 320x240 DOS 4.11 resolution. Paint, the DOS version was the obsession back then, but with no instruction manuals or other people to tell him how to operate the software, he taught himself how to open the program, play, and then turn off the computer (as there was no obvious exit button) to turn off the paint. This led to myriad of problems on the home computer being shut down improperly. Undaunted, he continued teaching himself how everything worked and how to fix it.
This continued through the years as Windows 3.1 and then Win95 came out. The mouse allowing you to point and click brought a new group of users to computers. Then in 1997 it happened, the internet. Now he had already been trying out BBS systems in the early 90s which were just direct dialed phone lines to other "host" bulletin boards in the larger cities where you could read messages from others, download files, and this was the early start to what would become the internet.
Fast forward to 2024 and there is not a computer system, in hardware or software that he has not used, broken, and fixed at some point. Schooling and certification was a technicality by the time that happened. Now the internet is everywhere and on everything. Your data is never truly gone as the "cloud" has given unlimited storage to companies around the world. Good for preserving good memories, but bad for trying to remove the ones you would rather forget.
